Daniel Harrison is a Registered Psychotherapist living in Auckland, New Zealand, with over 20 years in the mental health sector.  He has worked for several private and government organisations and now works solely in private practice seeing individuals, couples, groups and writing on topics of interest.

About Daniel

Daniel offers short and long term psychotherapy to individuals and couples.  He provides a space to talk and explore experiences and concerns in a safe and confidential manner.  Daniel's aim is to assist people in working through emotional difficulties, improve relationships and develop positive change.

Daniel's approach to therapy is collaborative and compassionate.  Psychotherapy is a mutual process where a therapist acts as a pilot for navigating what is brought by the client.  Within this stance, Daniel can help further understand and address the concerns that led you here, likely in search of some relief from the way you are currently feeling.  Together you will work with Daniel to reduce current stress and facilitate growth.  When we gain a better understanding of ourselves, we can live more authentically and start utilising the untapped strengths that lie within us.  It is Daniel's job to listen carefully and guide you to this better understanding.

Daniel has particular interest in the following:

  • Trauma

  • Depression & anxiety

  • Relationships

  • Pornography addiction

  • Problematic and professional gaming

  • Family issues
